I purchased sweet success cucumber seeds , the cucumbers werent nothing like the ones I planted for years . The horticulturist said it was from cross pollination or the weather . I told them I planted them with other types of cucumbers before with no problem and the weather this year is a normal summer . They made me feel like I didnt know what I was talking about . The seeds are hybrids and I said maybe they went back to the seeds that were used to create the sweet success , the was no response to that . They reimbursed 2 packets of the 4 that were purchased . They cant admit what the problem is , wrong seeds or a problem with their seeds . Blame it on the weather or cross pollination , I planted these along side of the same cucumber for years with no problem . Apparently they dont stand by their warranty , I offered to send back to them the packs of seeds that were unopened . Instead of saying to send them back I got reimbursed 50% . I cant stand huge seeds and big seed cavities in my cucumbers , but thats what I got . What happened to the one year guarantee . I like to get what I pay for , instead I got crap . The *** cucumbers are very disappointing . By the way the other type of cucumbers these were planted alongside are fine , as they were in previous years .

Ive been communicating ( or so I thought ) about their sweet success cucumber seeds . They keep coming up with excuses for their inferior seeds . I bought 4 seed packets and got reimbursed for the first and last packet . Im 70 years old and never had a real problem with their seeds till now . They must think people are stupid .

I purchased packs of peppers (jalapeno, carnival, and poblano) from Burpee. None of the seeds are what they were advertised as. This was a waste of money, time, electricity, garden space, water, and nutrients. When I confronted Burpee about this widely known issue they responded by removing my reviews that called them out for this problem. I would recommend you use local suppliers or more reputable ones because Burpee will not make good on mistakes that they, or their suppliers whom they should have vetted, make.

Plant that has never come up

This is the same plant that I received and there was no dirt around the plant and it had looked terrible and the box was beat up. I contacted you as soon as I saw it and they said wait and see what happens. Nothing ever happened and has not had a leaf on it and it was so dead that what little stem was on it broke off . It was a hydrangea paniculata puffer fish .i dont care if you give me a refund or if you send another but let me know what you are going to do Thank you Renee coats

I never complain about Burpee but when I opened my Chive package of seeds it was empty.

It's just an inconvenience and when you pay for the best you expect the best. Again I still love Burpee products. Just disappointed.

You billed my card $80 in March. I have yet to see my order which I now understand may not come til the end of May. Is this even legal. These plants should be hardened off and in the ground by mid -May, not to mention I will be on vacation at end of May which is why I ordered in March. I get different answers each time I call.

Horrible shipping

Upon ordering, they give you a ship date and charge $20 for shipping on $75 worth of product. The shipping date it turns out is just some date they say and have no real intention of sending, as customer service tells me it can be 2 weeks or more after that. She then tells me that part of my order (ordered beginning of February) wont ship until April. I think they realize that had i known that, i probably wouldnt have ordered. They had zero problems charging me in full day of, but then don't say anything about a super late ship date. There are too many other online shopping options, many with free shipping, to deal with this nonsense! Got me so upset I'm out here writing reviews, that incidentally, I should have read before I ordered!

Burpee Seeds And Plants - NO Customer Service!
I wish I could give Burpee NO stars at all. I ordered a couple of packets of seeds on 5/15/21. I contacted them on 5/28 to try to find out why my order hadn't arrived. They never responded. So, it's now June 2nd, and I still have not heard from Burpee nor have the seeds arrived.

Disappointment

Burpee cannot keep up with customer demand. They are out of many items for fall already. No Brunswick heirloom German cabbage from burpee this year. I have to change my strategy before its too late to plant fall crops.

Plants are all slimy and all the leaves are droppes off always had nice plants before I wont even be able to plant them I will have to throw them away all nine of them.
